About Silverman Consulting Group
Silverman Consulting Group is a collaborative venture between Phyllis Silverman and Herb Silverman, bringing together decades of nonprofit experience with modern, practical execution. We support small and mid-sized nonprofit organizations through thoughtful guidance in marketing, fundraising, event planning, volunteer development, and website development.
We bring energy and encouragement to every project while remaining detail-oriented, logical, and dependable. Clear communication, quick follow-up, and consistency guide how we work, allowing nonprofit leaders to feel supported, understood, and confident throughout the process.
At Silverman Consulting Group, we see ourselves as partners, not vendors. Our goal is simple and sincere: helping good work, work better. We invite you to explore how we can support your mission and move it forward—thoughtfully, effectively, and together.

Herb Silverman
Herb Silverman brings nearly three decades of experience in management, marketing, and sales to his work, paired with a deep commitment to community engagement. In retirement, he has intentionally redirected his professional skills toward volunteering, networking, and writing, believing that experience is most valuable when it is shared.
Staying connected to the community is a priority for Herb. He actively participates in local committees and charitable organizations, focusing on efforts that create practical, positive results. One of his most meaningful volunteer roles is with the Senior Resource Foundation of Ocala, where he supports marketing initiatives and serves as webmaster. The Foundation’s mission—to engage seniors fully in modern life, from fundraising to technology—closely aligns with Herb’s forward-looking belief that seniors remain vital contributors to society.
Herb earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago and later completed a Master of Business Administration at Emory University. He has also obtained multiple certificates in information technology, strengthening his ability to bridge strategy with execution in today’s digital landscape.
In addition to his consulting and volunteer work, Herb is the writer and editor of the blog, herbsilverman.bearblog.dev, where he explores themes of leadership, mindset, connection, and growth. A former Rotarian, he values meaningful relationships and believes that every conversation holds the potential to inform, inspire, and move people forward.
